I'm sitting here in my stays...
Apr. 7th, 2006 09:00 am... checking the fit, I think I laced them way too tight yesterday and doh ! it hurt.
Now I can't figure out where my BF has uploaded my pictures from the camera onto the comp. Annoying. I have the blue coutil corset, the orange jacket and my almost finished stays to show... Oh well, then I'll just finish my rococo chemise, now that I was able to adjust the neckline...

The corset is done ! I haven't done any flossing on it, due to the fabric and notions shop being closed yesterday when we arrived there. Pics still to come, my BF is currently fiddling with my comp (replacing Gentoo with Debian and getting the mails to work), so I won't have time to upload and edit the pictures right now.
I have taken my orange horror out of the closet, finished one fabric rose, taken in nearly all the seams and am now much more satisfied with the fit. Pics to come too ;)

Beware, bright colors !
Feb. 27th, 2006 11:08 pmHere are the progress pictures I have so far of my orange horror. I'm currently working on the jacket. It now has sleeves, lined sleeves, and I even bothered to set the sleeve outside and sleeve lining separately into the armscye, very much not like me, but the result is veeeeerrrry very me.
And since I'm a lazy bum, no buttons in the frotn, but a separable zipper. Cause I had an orang eone lying aoround.
Next comes the collar...

Oct. 24th, 2005 02:55 amOkay, so my bustle is finished. I have plenty to do (like cleaning the apartment, preparing the meal for tonight as we have guests, doing the laundry), but I'll grant myself a little sewing before starting my lemon and chocolate tart.
I've been working (very little, admittedly) on my orange horror again. I have all the pieces cut out, except the sleeves, for which I only have the sleeve lining. Oh, and I still miss the collar, too. And maybe some piping, if I can bring myself to make some and if I have enough fabric. I have spray-glued most pieces together and will bast them and zigzag the edges today.
Then I'll move over to corsetry, as I need to have a corset mock-up ready by Thursday evening. The problem being that I still miss one half of the measurements of the person I'm making the corset for. I think I'll assume what works for me will work for her...
