It's too early in the season for local, fresh strawberries. But those ones smelled too good to pass up. And since I got a few kilos (!) free, I'm not that much to blame. It's probably one of the few times in my life where I'll have the feeling that I ate a tad too many fresh strawberries for dessert. And they tasted heavenly, too.

On the more serious side, I haz picturz !

The Darth Matrioshka Empire dress, very much inspired by the pregnancy dress I made for friend S. some years ago when she was expecting her son. It has a very wide hem at the bottom, so that I can adapt the front length if needed.
Oh, and the front opens down to the empire waist for nursing purposes, if I'm lucky enogh to be allowed to breast-feed Heimlich...
In the pictures above it still needed to be hemmed. Now it's done (and I'm wearing it right as I type) ! Yay for completion (and for loose and yet stylish clothes) ! It feels good to have at last finished *something* since the wedding. Now I'm on a roll and I'm thinking about cutting out a few loose t-shirts. Maybe I should rather work on my drawings and painting though... Or more probably, go to bed.

I love it! It's nice to see maternity wear that isn't all big blue flowers that make it look like your smuggling a pair of puppies in in your top. Or worse yet, horizontal stripes! 'cause there's nothing a girl likes more than looking2x's as wide as you really are.

Thank you !
I admit, I have some fabric around here to make me a horizontal striped t-shirt. :) And I'd probably buy the bie blue flowers fabric as well if I found it. I'm known for making my friends' eyes sting...

I love the fabric - how good are you to make is so that you can use it after 'Heimlich' has arrived!

That's my goal, to end up with stuff I'll still wear *atfer* the pregnancy. Surprisingly, the maternity pants I bought yesterday should comply to that rule as well !
The fabric is great, and I have *plenty* more. Probalby enough for a bustle dress or the like :)
