Simplicity short stays pictures

I know, I promised them some days ago, but the week has somehow flown by, and I don't know wher emy free time went. Then we were visiting
argyronete over the week-end (it IS a six hours drive forth, and the same back, Sister, I told you so !), which was good but exhausting. Luckily, I have today and tomorrow off, so I can catch up a bit.
Plase excuse the nylon slip under it, I have yet to make a regency shift, and my rococo one I forgot at
lady_darkstone's place. I shall get it back tomorrow in time for The Duchess.

This was the state of the underwear a week ago. When I tried it on, the short stays were acually a little tighter than I wanted at the bottom (and maybe a smidge too wide at the top), but I hope to break them in by the wedding. And if not, I can still not lace them closed - and still get the right shape in the boobs area. And besides, I'll bring along a modern change of underwear just in case my sternum decides to hurt.
You were right,
fiofiorina, the straps angle is wrong, too, but it didn't show on the mock up and I'm NOT altering that after I put the binding on.
Right now, I've cut out, sewn together, flatfelled* and attached the skirt portion to the stays. Much swearing ensued as I can NOT iron my linen into submission. I managed to make it look okay, but not really wrinkle-free. Maybe letting it hang for a while and adding the bottom ruffles will do the trick. If not, well... wrinkly it will be.
* By hand. It would have been very unlike me some years ago, but after seeig how fast it goes and how much neater it looks on the outside, I was sold on that. Actually, I even attached the skirt to the stays by hand over the week-end.
