A sneak peak, a new project and some roller-coaster

I'm slowly getting out of the pain-induced numbness. The web hiatus was necessary - the summer had already been hectic, those last two weeks were the icing on the cake. Roller-coaster, I say. Thank you for your kind words and comfort, it was a real blessing. I'm now attempting to resume a normal IRL and web life.

So I have a sneak peak form the finished Goth Kitty. I'm hoping to do a photoshoot tomorrow or Sunday with it - after I've taken my live kitty to the vet to see what's going on that prevents her from putting one paw on the floor.


And then , some pictures of the house. This was before the parquet came.

Then, a sneak peak of the parquet that my Dad spent most of the summer installing :

Now, I'm working on putting pictures up the walls in the purple/sewing room. I had chosen some basic and simple metal frames, but when I went to pick them up yesterday Ikea only had three of the small ones in store, and I needed 6 (plus 2 bigger ones). So heres comes the DIY. Pick up the very very basic, blank, unfinished wood frames at the same Ikea. Embark lady_darkstone int he project to prepare the paint, so that the gouache mix maches the two existing frames. Paint eight frames. Let them dry. Coat them with wax. Let the frames dry. Polish.

Thanks ! The purple room actually looks WAY better in person - the wallpaper color is extremely hard to photograph, it's a much warmer tone in real life. And picture frames should climb up the walls quite soon.
