So I wanted to go fabric-hunting this morning. But since the weather is miserable (cold rain here, snow just a bit higher in the mountains) the people just didn't come to the market, or did but didn't set up their stands. So the fabric seller just didn't come, although she had promised to bring some red and orange fabric for my sis'. And my usual supplies seller looked like he just wanted to pack again and go and have some warm coffee. Meaning we had a hard time making him put out the biastape (nothing for me there, but some ribbon for my sis') and I wasn't allowed to have a closer look at the lace. I could find some lace collars anyway, which will be just fine for Caramel's jacket, but let me tell you I'm pretty angry with him, since I really am a *good* client. It wasn't the same man as usual, so maybe it's just that. But anyway : I don't appreciate going out in the cold and rain for (nearly) nothing.

I hope my digicam will work now, I have many pictures to upload...

Gosh that sounds like where I live; it's good to hear that it's not just a problem of developing countries that the market selection is tied to the whims of the vendors. Can't tell you how many times I've NEEDED a zipper in a certain colour, and couldn't buy one for a few days because it was cold and nobody wanted to be out selling.

The parket is a good cheap supplies source here, but it also is... well, a market. One thing that cost 5€ one day would cost only 1€ the next day, and the other way round, depending on the weather and the people. Luckily I have other supplies sources, my fabric store doesn't close his doors if it's raining ! :)
