Bonne année LJ ! A happy new year to all, friends far and close, fellow costumers and teachres. May 2006 be a happy, successful, fulfilling year for you all.
As so many do, a little flash-back on what I meant to get done in 2005, what I actually did and what I'd like to get done in 2006
A short note I made in January :
- finish my black eowyn-style dress and take pictures of it
- finish my gray-possibly-embroidered dress
- my blue dress
- finish Caramel
- trim my brown cotton skirt
- photograph my white and blue chemise
- a jedi costume for Ep. III
- corsets, chemises, and drawers for our next LARP
- a red eowyn-stlye dress
And here was my updated and expanded list in February
What I actually got done (in no particular order) :
- Caramel
- I finished the black dress, but didn't take pictures
- the blue dress has been redesigned as my future "Marine" bustle dress
- I got pics from the the white and blue chemise
- drawers : 2 (plain white with lace insertions one and red trim one)
- chemises : 2 (red trim one and blue flowered one)
- white waist cincher
- bustle
- Gangs of New York LARP costume
- petticoat and crinoline for Sab
- orange indienne modern dress
- a fabric doll and the Very Silly Project
- a beaded and embroidered reticule for a sewing buddy (pics here and here)
(I'm not that bad, after all !!)
The neverending list of unfinished projects that loom over my horizont and that I have to finish before starting anything else :
- my blue ribbon embroidered stays
- my orange horror
- my nieces blue corset
- my brothers black shirts
- my bustle dress, with muff and dolman
- empire gown
And what I'd like to sew in 2006
- orange 1893 blouse (AP1498)
- more victorian underpinnings
- caraco and petticoat for Vaux-le-Vicomte (in case I can't go, I'll just show off somewhere else, na !)
- a black cloak for my brother, and a shiny red one for a friend (LARP costuming, yay)
- possibly a very early bustle ballgown, if I am to go to Carnet de Bal's spring ball. If !
