I'm sorry, I'm a bit slow lately. Sick, very tired, aching, that's the short version.
But my kids are cute !
Heimlich's skeleton suit in action - I had to turn up the pants' legs some, as I feared, but the rest was fine. I skipped the socks, and was very happy to have skipped the chemise s well, as it was HOT that day. He loved the hat waaaay more than I thought he would.
Toad's frock was almost entirely handsewn, because it was an easy way to keep my hands busy while roleplaying during our vacation. The frock should have a ribbon threaded through the top but I couldn't find a ribbon I liked (didn't hve any in my stash, they were all too wide, and all shops were closed in town...), so I just sewed some ties to the back until I find something suitable (i.e. not polyester satin). Her bonnet is a vintage one, probably from the fifties. I'm not sure I'll manage to make her a period appropriate bonnet before our next event, and she won't fit into the dress anymore after that - it's pretty tight already, se's growing sooo fast !
I hope this was somehow readable, my head is swirling from the pain, and staying on the computer for more than a few minutes at a time is kinda hard...
