The dress doesn't fit. No idea what happened, everything is off. I have to at least trim down and rehem the front draped placket and do some magic to the side to make it barely acceptable.
It fit on the previous try on, it even fit well on the dummy. Either my brain fried somewhere, or the adjustability solution I used is somewhat flawed, I dunno, I'm so tired and angry and frustrated I want to throw it in a corner and just spend the day with family, rather than drag my not-happy ass out in the subway in a dress I currently hate.

Edit, slept on it, identified two issues, mroe or less fixable :
- one piece stretched ont he bias while I ironed it. Stretched BADLY, I'll make sure to be cautious with that fabric later on (I thought I was). Trim the piece, re-hem it, iron it caaaarefully.
- I gained at least half a boob size since I made the toile. I'm almost spilling out of one of the last bras I bought (was that two weeks ago ?). That explains a good deal of the side wonkiness. I don't think that can be altered without redraping the side fronts.
I think I'll leave the side front issue as is. I even think I'll let my non-pregnant sister model the outfit (we're almost the same size and she fits into my usual corset) and take pictures and check the differences, and I'm pretty sure the side issue will almost disappear.

One's always more optimistic after a (too short) night's sleep.

Me too ! I often have a "oh non, it's fugly !"-moment right after putting in the last stitch, but this was worse than usual...

How utterly annoying! I hope it's easy to fix!

I retried it on, laced it better, re-hemmed one piece, and it's definitely better. I deem it done and... rather pretty, I have to say ^^

Pfff ! I'm 200% sure the dress will fit perfectly when I will see you : you're an overachiever with a perfection complex.

Nope, it doesn't fit perfectly, but yes, I'm an overachiever :D
Les côtés battants ne tombent pas super, ils tombaient nickel sur le mannequin et sur la toile.... Après, depuis heir soir, Toadette se montre, et j'ai pris pas mal de poitrine en quinze jours...
