I'm totally unsure whether I want the skeleton suit to be long or short-sleeved. The first examples I saw were long-sleeved, and so is my mock-up (did I mention : hey, it fits quite pefectly !). Buuuut the boy does NOT like being too hot, and it will be worn in the peak of summer. And now it seems the whole universe is sending me reference pictures for short-sleeved suits. I'm torn ! Both are so cute, and the long sleeves would act as a good sun protection... What a dilemna !

A 1864-65 Mod eIllustrée book arrived at our doorstep today (might be related to me bidding on it, right ?) and it's GORGEOUS. I might want a crinoline now... :)

How many LMI did you buy in the last 3 months ? Because I officially HATE you for your gorgeous collection.

You have every right to hate me, esp. as I'm being sluggish at scanning them. I have bought quite a few lately - though for my defense, the prices have dropped dramatically. It's one of those areas where you see how most people just don't have that much spare cash anymore. They used to go for 80 euros, now it's more 50 for the most expensive ones, and I saw a lot with a 20 euros highest bid.
I think it's 5 or 6, but eBay won't let me go back further than the last two months (two books, but I bought a bunch of them a bit earlier)

The Home Geek voted for long sleeves as sun protection, and since it's what I've mocked up already, I'll start with long sleeves - though I reserve myself the right to change my mind and/or make an alternate jacket with short sleeves.

As someone who hates being too hot, I'd go with the short sleeves. (since it's really the 21st century, we can always cheat with sunscreen for invisible protection).

I'm actually a big fan of real, material protection against the sun. Heimlich got his father's skin, no tanning ever, just sunburn, so I'd basically need to dip him into sunscreen every other hour. I think long sleeves won. Long sleeves AND shade.

do you want me to scan in the photo and line drawing of the one from the Mancheter collection that has elbow length sleeve, with button on extensions? It is a cotton suit too.
