What do you mean "sewing" ?

I don't really have that much to report...
Not much happened this week in the devastated area that used to be the living room's table and has slowly become my sewing-and-other-stuff domain. I finished the front edges of the redingote bodice, added the closing strip at the waist, and started inserting the buckle at the neckline.
The chima needs a hem, and I need
lady_darkstone for that, because it doesn't even fit on my dummy. Insert moaning about my dummy's stupid shoulders. And more moaning because the wretched thing hates all kinds of bustles and is basically falling apart. Balancing skirts is getting tricky.
The past weeks have been an emotional roller-coaster, for no particular external reason. I guess it's kind of normal (at least that's what everyone, including my doc, told me) that I kind of "loosen the strings" now. Things have been cray since what... August two-thousend-EIGHT ? Crazy good and crazy bad. Ouch.
The hubby is really tired as well. The little angel, on the other hand, is fine - no strike that, he's ADORABLE ! He's very eager to learn to stand, and will spend as much time as he physically can doing so - with Mommy's or Daddy's help as he has the strength to stay up but a very limited balance. He can roll on his back when I put him on his stomach - but doesn't always remember how to proceed. Oh and he's got some HAIR again ! He's not going to be blond-haired, I'm afraid... but he kept his amazing blue eyes.
He's teething... slowly, as he has been for the past two months. He'll frantically bite his left hand a few times a day, and cry louder than a firemen's truck siren until the pain stops by itself or is soothened by gum gel or paracetamol - but still no teeth in sight. *sigh* Fortunately, he's ok most of the time and it hasn't disturbed his sleep much.
He's still a little thin from his hospital stay and sickness, but he's been putting on weight regularly, and has a very healthy appetite (that's an understatement). He's started eating mixed veggies and fruits (thank Goddess because the bottles were becoming too small), and now a little bit of meat and yoghurt, and he *loves* it. He makes little appreciative noises when eating something he really likes - his Dad thinks they mean "MOAR ! MOAR !" - and aims for the pot rather than the spoon whenever he can.

This was last month, but it's still one of my faves :) I have to convince the HG to transfer the latest pictures onto the computer...
