So a little trip to H&M persuaded me that I'd have much more fun making clothes than buying them. I zoomed straight home (ok, I did not zoom that much, there are speed limitations) and sat at the Darth Matrioshka empire dress. When everythign was done but the hems I went to try it on and *whooosh*, seems one of the neckline laces wasn't secured enough, and it slipped right out of its casing. Aaargh !
I need some nutella. And finding comfort int he idea that in less than an hour I'm off to see Heimlich - that's the baby's name until we know whether it's a he or a she.

It's too early in the season for local, fresh strawberries. But those ones smelled too good to pass up. And since I got a few kilos (!) free, I'm not that much to blame. It's probably one of the few times in my life where I'll have the feeling that I ate a tad too many fresh strawberries for dessert. And they tasted heavenly, too.

On the more serious side, I haz picturz !

The Darth Matrioshka Empire dress, very much inspired by the pregnancy dress I made for friend S. some years ago when she was expecting her son. It has a very wide hem at the bottom, so that I can adapt the front length if needed.
Oh, and the front opens down to the empire waist for nursing purposes, if I'm lucky enogh to be allowed to breast-feed Heimlich...
In the pictures above it still needed to be hemmed. Now it's done (and I'm wearing it right as I type) ! Yay for completion (and for loose and yet stylish clothes) ! It feels good to have at last finished *something* since the wedding. Now I'm on a roll and I'm thinking about cutting out a few loose t-shirts. Maybe I should rather work on my drawings and painting though... Or more probably, go to bed.
