More specifically now, pictures from the finished pierrot worn with the whole outfit.

I was a bit displeased with the wrinkles on the frotn zone at first but in the end, I think I really love this outfit. It's quite comfy, and the skirt looks so much better with it than with the plummy caraco... Who's the pretty pretty princess ? ;)

ETA : a funny thing I noted, if you go into plumy's pics folder, there's a shot of the pierrot fabric. See, the pierrot was the original plan and I got side-tracked by the evil silk !

That's so pretty! Can I ask what pattern you used for the bodice? Or did you drape it?

I took my fitted pattern from plummy's caraco (http://mfaure.are-ata.org/img/couture/pics/plummy/) (adapted from Norah Waugh, Cut of Women's clothes, can't tell the page now as I've lent the book), and drafted it from there. The main modifications were drafting the side seam out, cutting out a zome front, and transforming the one-piece elbow-length sleeve into a longer, two-piece one. And of course, adding the peplum which I would do otherwise in e second attempt).

It looks very comfy. And the colours are gorgeous, all seafoam and cream. My favourite part is the peplum.

I love it! I prefer it to the plummy caraco, too. Maybe some boning in the center front would help with the wrinkles?

The wrinkles are caused by the bulk of the skirt waist in the front. Maybe I'll alter the skirt and make it a little less full in the front so that it's less bulky there. I don't know yet, the wrinkles don't bother me as much as I thought they would.

Thank you ! It's actually a miracle I don't look like a zombie on pictures, given I had barely slept an hour in total during the night ad that I was ouchging my lungs out...
