Frustration (players beware)

The pencil marks wouldn't go away from the condom boxes. And after that, they showed even mor eone the varnish was on. And the big box got some giant issues after the second coat of varnish, whil she was fine after the first one. I've put quite a lot of work on this special one, so I'm moderatly pissed.
I'm working on the oui-ja board. The design is settled and drawn on calc. I need to go buy the board itself, and probably paint it before transfering the drawing. Too bad I haven't got my woodburning set here. OR should I look for a new set ? maybe that would be easier...
I've still a lot of documents, letters, even parts of a book to type and edit using handwritten fonts to mimick several different handwritings - and I don't feel tha tmotivated about it.
I also think I won't have the time for Claudine's corset - which is not tha tmuch of a problem. The lady playing the part fits in one lovely salmon dress of
lady_darkstone without a corset. It just means Claudine's combinations won't get used. So I'll be giving them to Maria, but I've been stupid enough to start a chemise for her already. Well, it'll get some use someday, but for now it will remain unfinished.
1 What is your favorite costume era ?
Late nineteenth century always rings a bell, but I'd easily stretch as far as 1930, and I've a weak spot for rococo as well.
2 What is the part of the costuming process (research, sewing, etc) that you hate the most ?
When you realise there's something wrong with the garment and it'll take ages to correct it, if you can even correct it.
3 What is the part of the costuming process (research, sewing, etc) that you love the most ?
Assembling the main pieces, when it starts to llok like the finished garment
4 What kind of detail in a dress immediately catch your eye ?
The color, I'm very sensitive to colors. If something is too pale or too dull, I'll hardly give it any attention, no matter how perfect the costume is.
5 What dress (painting, museum item, etc.) started your love for costuming ? When ?
Kendra's red teens dress. Till I watched her progress on it, I was only mildly interested in costuming fo LARPing purposes.
6 What costume are you sure you would never do ?
Remember the polyester monster with pink tull at Vaux ? THAT one ! *shudders*
7 How many projects do you have ? Count them all, not just the real planned projects, but also your dreamed ones.
Oh, that's a tough one, you'll get the list or I'll never give a clear answer.
The projects I'm currently more or less working on :
- the basement corset for my Marthe character
- the green winter bustle, which sould get a matching visit and muff
- the above mentioned yet unfinished white chemise (nearly done)
- the birds tunic
- that's all ? o_O
The planned ones :
- the Simkin project, aka orange emdroidered rococo waistcoat and breeches, and possibly mathing coat
- pirates outfits : one waistcoat, two coats, two shirts (since I irremediably lost the one I made for my brother, he needs another one)
- a blue tunic to go with the linen pants
- several victorian waistcoats
- embroidered nadkerchiefs for the HG
- red kimono
- B&W striped edwardian corset
The ones that should/could get done from the fabrics I have in stash (but I could and will probably change my mind by then)
- red and black jedi
- the marine bustle dress
- a striped pierrot
- a red wool riding coat
- red/fuschia bustle dress
- blue.green bustle dress
- purple and green satin teens something
- green wool mundane skirt
- beige wool mundane winter woat
and many more fabrics waiting for a specifical purpose
8 What was your very very first costuming try ? It could be a barely begin project.
A costume for a comics con back in 1999. It included a blue skirt for which I hadn't bought enough fabric, and a silver bra with long hanging sleeves. I'm actually quite proud I got the bra done, it fitted, without pattern !
actually, it is only paritally true, since the silver fabric had been bought for another costuming attempt which never saw he light of day - as in, never got cut out.
9 What costume do you madly love, but don't feel able to do ?
Anything heavily embroidered - speak men's rococo fashion. But I love ribbon embroidery, so I'll give this one a try :)
10 Which of your follow costumers do you admire the most ? Why ?
I admire my f'list's work, all of it, and I lurve drooling over it. You're wonderful gals !
