In which the heroine has cutting issues

The combinations are on their way, and I'm trying to stop being an over-achiever on those underwear projects. I decided *not* to make a lace insertion at waist level, since sewing on a casing of eyelet lace will look pretty much the same. What still needs to be done on this now :
- find some pink ribbon in the right color and width for the waist (they didn't have the right width at my usual supplies dealer, sigh)
- make some decent bows with the ribbons at hem and sew them in place
- hem armscye (for this I need to check the fit with thre waist gathered, so I'll have to wait til I find the ribbon)
- sew approximately 20 buttons and buttonholes, yuck, by hand of course...
For a change, I decided to finish Denise's costume and make her drawers. Taking off the pattenr from the patternsheet went ok, as well as cutting the legs and sewing them together, wut when I had to improvise some sort of waist thingie (because those aren't in the pattern), I had issues. By mere luck, I found the right angle and lenght on the first try. But instead of cutting one waistpiece twice, I cut only one, and it ended up in 4 pieces instead of one, which I could not sew back together (no idea how THAT happened). *headdesk* My second attempt resulted in only one waistpiece, too, but this time it was in one piece, so that I could simply cut the second one by placing the first one on top of my fabric.
So now I'm off to zigzag the edges and sew the last bit together, and then try to remember where I put the tea-dyed trim for those...
