Now you have proof...

... that my old digicam sucks mightly ! I also discovered tonight that the zoom function was dead as a dodo. Let's not talk about image quality, I'd be happy to just get rid of those pink stripes - I usually love stripes, though.
The Erris corset is done and it's... interesting. I couldn't lace it properly as I don't have proper laces, so the front slits are just pinned shut. The lower part is thus not laced at all and tends to... expand, while the top is normally constricted. The corset thus tend to slide down a bit - I expect that to change with 1° proper lacing 2° growing belly. As is, it gives the impression I have more belly than I actually do....

I didn't even bother showing you the flossing - its not pretty anyway, nor the lace, because the pictures came out so horrible. This givees just a rough idea of the shape. The color look better on the eyelet shot below.

Yes I did all those eyelets by hand. Yes I'm insane.
In other news, I went to a small and fantastic costume exhibit this morning, staged by the wonderful Dame d'Atours (I already mentionned her when her book came out). I took lots and lots of pictures (which were slightly less crappy than tonight's), and even had a chance to look at the bodice of a 1910s ensemble... Pictures are unglamorously stacked in a corner of my website until the gallery thing is fixed. *pokes Home Geek*
