I *can* sew, can't I ?
Nov. 25th, 2008 11:38 pmI *finally* made some progress on the bodiced petticoat. Not much, mind you (but then, I worked 10-19 today, then went grocery shopping, then cooked dinner and prepared some jam that I'll cook tomorrow morning), but getting the two ruffles hemmed and ready to be attached to the skirt is actully needed to complete the petticoat by Thursday, as I ambition to. Attaching two ruffles (pre-gathered) sounds doable, right ? I have tomorrow morning off - and a fair amount of things to do around the house. I *think* I can do it. I'm even daydreaming of getting a little bit further.
I don't know if it's the knitting inducing my body to produce endorphines, but I'm feeling quite content with this minimal progress and optimistic about the next days. A propos knitting, I'm almost halfway through the Kid in Yellow's bonnet. And starting to love DPN's. I knew I was masochistic to begin with ! Now if only I could figure out a way to make my figure 8 cast-on look really good instead of just okay, that'd be great.
