And so the "to-sew's" list gets shorter

Just tried my basement corset on again. And there are really so many issues with it I can't get bothered to fix them all just to keep the cording. So into the garbage bin the cording will go, while I'll salvage the busc and bones.
Then I think I'll start on a new and improved Doré. Or I'll just re-order the straight-front corset pattern I have lost. Or I'll try to draft my own from my books, though I'm a little scared to do that. Bodices, skirts, even sleeves I can handle, but corsets ? Missa scaaaaaared ! I've got lots of pretty fabrics I have earmarked for corsets, and miles of gorgeous lace to embellish it. And I really want a new corset because... well because I want new pretty undies. Sincerely, my old Doré is not that bad. *ponders* Either a straight-fronted one or something that goes down further on the hips would be good options.
(After which ramble I remember my next historic projects are corset-less gowns... ahem...)
